I've just logged in to IMDB this morning only to find that Blake Edwards has passed away.
I'm quite shocked since I did not hear anything about his death on the 15th December until now. But what's really shocked me is that I've having been something of a Pink Panther season the last few weeks. I very recently purchased the Pink Panther film collection and watched 'The Pink Panther' and 'A Shot In The Dark' over the last couple of weeks, along with 'The Life of Death of Peter Sellers', which Edwards of course features in. Only last night, I watched 'Return of the Pink Panther', still being unaware of Edwards' death. Particularly strange though is the fact that on the 15th Dec, I rewatched The Pink Panther with the commentary by Edwards. So, you can imagine my surprise when I found out only a few minutes ago that Edwards passed away on that very day!
Has anyone else had a similar experience(s)? It seems to happen to me now and then. Another time, I dreamt I was watching "The Godfather". When I woke in the morning, what do you knowMarlon Brando had died!
Still, RIP Mr Edwards and thanks for the memories! I'll definetly carry on my Pink Panther season over Christmas now.

Yes-On my post I just mentioned that I was just reading about a new "Pink Panther" cartoon made earlier this year with Blake Edwards as one of the producers then I look on the net the next day and see that he just died.
That was strange for me.Like Heath LedgerI had just been looking him up (among others) on the net the day before he died.
