I know he isn't getting any younger, but Mr. Edwards managed to pull off all the Sellers/Panther films and still raise a laugh.
Do you think he would step into the director's chair again to try b68and liven up the Steve Martin movies should dependency call him?
I'm a huge fan of these movies but can't help thinking that the Steve Martin vehicle (or vehicles as it's turning out) are ruining the good Pink Panther name.
Thoughts please!

Sellers was a brilliant actor, undoubtedly. However, to say he deserves sole credit for The Pink Panther series at the exclusion of the series' creator/writer/producer/director seems a mite short-sighted. I'd argue the collaboration of the two made the series work. A Sellers Panther without Edwards would have been another FIENDISH PLOT OF DR. FU MANCHU.

blake already f'd up16d0 the franchise with the PP movies sans Sellers. PP credit goes to Sellers, not Edwards. Credit where it is due, please.

I would love to see Mr Edwards directing again but sadly I do not think it will happen though I do hope so.
and yes Steve Martin is messing up PP but he will not distroy what Blake did.
