He was badass and really funny too. I largely prefer his role/performance in Machete than Planet Terror (the scene-stealer in the latter was easily Josh Brolin).

it seems like no one really appreciated how much of a badass this guy is until Robert Rodriguez came along and cast him in Machete. That really paid off quite well. Jeff Fahey is my favorite thing about that movie. I actually found myself rooting for him as he just because of how incredibly badass he was while doing it.
I'm watching Psycho III right now, and it was funny when he told Norman while being killed: "Watch the guitar."
