<p dir="auto">Howdy!!  I was just wondering if anyone out there knows if Peter did any of his own singing in the movie The Idolmaker??  I know this movie is from Forever ago..but TCM just had it on and once again I ended up staying up late to watch it allalways a classic in my books!!<br />

<p dir="auto">I have the songs on CD, they were released on the sound track album years ago.  I was a DJ at a club in CT and we did bits to all the Idolmaker tunes.  What a great movie, I thought Peter would have taken off following this movie.</p>

<p dir="auto">Peter did his own singing - Paul Land (Tommy Dee) did not, but did a great job with the moves and lip syncing. The songs were written by Jeff Barry. If you search the web, someone must have the songs that you can legally download - they were never released. And the movie is on DVD also - ebay and amazon</p>

<p dir="auto">Yes, he did do his own singing.  He's done a lot of Broadway shows, especially the roll of Skye Masterson in "Guys and Dolls".  I agree; he is really a talented guy!!!<br />
"Idolmaker" is one of my favoreite movies from the 80's.</p>
