I was watching Carlos, which is a really good miniseries about a terrorist, and the actress that played Carlos' wife, Magdalena Coop, looked like Ava Gardner.
She's a good actress. Don't know if she could pull off an American accent, but she could play Ava Gardner.

loved the film & the actress but i don't quite agree. try Deborah Kara Unger, who even played Ava Gardner in "Rat Pack"
