Ava was also fantastic in SEVEN DAYS IN MAY [1964] although her part wasn't a big one.

THE KILLERS [1946]: Ava and Burt Lancaster have wonderful chemistry. Plus it is the film that made them both stars.
THE HUCKSTERS [1947}: Ava beautiful as ever, the perfect leading lady for a returning Clark Gable.
PANDORA AND THE FLYING DUTCHMAN [1951]: Wonderful cinematography, and Ava's beauty is breath taking. Plus there is also James Mason.
SHOW BOAT [1951}: Love the last scene as well as Ava's brilliant performance.
MOGAMBO {1953]: Ava fills Jean Harlow's shoes without a problem. Ava and Clark Gable are perfect together.
THE BAREFOOT CONTESSA [1953]: There was no one else who could have played this part.
BHOWANI JUNCTION [195616d0]: Ava's brilliant performance should have been nominated.
THE SUN ALSO RISES [1957]: Ava, Tyrone Power and Errol Flynn, I also think no one else could have done these roles.
ON THE BEACH [1959]: Wonderful cast all around, once again, I cannot imagine anyone else playing this part.
NIGHT OF THE IGUANA {1964}: Steals the film completely from Richard Burton.

I agree; in "Night of the Iguana" she looked lovely, and gave a wonderful performance.

Night of the Iguana was the first Ava movie I ever saw, and that began my fascination with her. I know a lot of people probably wouldn't agree with me, but I think she was even more beautiful when she was a little bit older. Plus John Huston brought out the best in her. It's a pity she didn't do more movies with him. But I digress. Night of the Iguana also has the yummy Richard Burton. It's a fascinating film.
Laissez les bons temps rouler!
