I am a major Larry McMurtry fan, and also a longtime fan of Garner, but was very worried that JG wouldn't be a convincing Captain Woodrow Call. So happy when I was wrong; Garner was terrific and I loved this miniseries. Even as much as I loved Tommy Lee Jones as Call, I found Garner totally believable in the role. Biggest surprise of this miniseries for me was how good George Carlin was as Billy. I couldn't get oveb68r my favorite comedian being such a good actor.
