Great post! Rockfishmy brother and I refer to the "Rockford Files" by that name.

Those with Issac Hayes were some of my favorites.He and James Garner HAD great chemistry. RIP,to both.

Just admit you were wrong without trying to obfuscate the topic by bring up a totally unrelated topic about Jim's father (which I suspect that you probable just made up). The character that called him "ROCKFISH" appeared in three episodes where he used Rockfish so it was not just so obscure reference.

I'll give you a hint, in prison a new inmate is called a fish, When Rockford was in prison another convict gave him the name of "ROCKFISH" in prison. When the convict got out of prison and got in touch with Rockford he continued to cll him "ROCKFISH"
Ohhhh so a SINGLE person called Rockford "Rockfish," but no one else did.
And Rockford's dad was known to all as "Gramps" and not "Rocky," because one kid at the local bait-and-tackle shop referred to him that way.
