if it is then how in the world did this happen? actors 80 or older usually don't act anymore. even an actor as popular as jack Nicholson and Robert duvall finally retired by the time they were just under 80. and sean connery did the same.
also, how is he even still alive. he should've started this commercial with "I'm still alive, fooled you!"

He's still posting the same offensive nonsense bitching and whining about people in show business getting older and looking more their advanced age as they age here on filmboards.

OP is clearly a troll. He spouts the same ageist absurdity on the Betty White board. It must be difficult for someone with such a pitiful existence to be confronted with people who've lived a full and rewarding life Please join me in hoping he's able to get his meds adjusted and climb out of his mama's basement before it's too late.

I added those KFC spots under other work on George Hamilton's IMDb page. Moreover, add Harry Dean Stanton and Philip Baker Hall to the list of actors who are still working in either their mid-80's or, in Harry Dean's case, at age 90.

Christopher Lee and Ernest Borgnine continued acting well into their 90's. Moreover, character actor Burt Mustin was still acting in his 90's. Character actress Frances Bay kept plugging away into her early 90's as well. And, of course, Betty White is still going strong. Just because an actor or actress is pushing 80 that doesn't mean they have to retire unless of course they want to. On a more personal note, my grandma is 90 and not only is she still up and about, but she even still continues to drive.

It's not like he's working all that much. Might have a bit part or two a year which might have him working a couple weeks a year if that. So he can still be retired the other weeks of the year,
George Burns worked well into his 90's as well.

I just saw the commercial and I too was surprised. But lukejbarnett2002, I read the replies in your post and I gotta say the following:
I also think you must be very young (good for you!) and you are not happy to see George in the KFC ad but it is a pretty good ad! Yes, I think he should be retired and having fun too! But lots of people, not only in show business, just can't seem to do that. I think they should be spending their $ and doing what they love to do. Mr. Hamilton must love to work! I love seeing Betty White in anything she does.
I wish I was retired! I would surf, dance, drum, sing and do what I love all the time! I cannot wait until I retire!
and I do understand where you are coming from but try and understand. You are very fortunate right now, being young but someday you will be nearing retirement (God-willing!) I hope you are happy in your work and also in your life.
Be a little patient with our senior citizens! Just remember, different strokes for different folks!!!
Peace!
There are a lot of actors still working that are over 80. Gotta love 'em.

There is nothing whatsoever wrong about him being ing a commercial. Nor with him out anyone else being in films or movies. Fact is, people get old. Shouldn't tv reflect life? Or should anyone over 80 not be represented on tv?

How is this a "FACT" that "THIS IS WRONG?" It is your OPINION.
People love watching Betty White on television and she's 94. And she's a big part of "Hollywood's business model."
If you choose to be bigoted and prejudiced against older people, that is your right. But don't expect everyone to agree with you.

that doesn't change the fact that this is wrong, I dont' care if you are also old, you still don't want to see old. this goes against Hollywood's business model.

they should retire. we dont' want to see some old, shriveled up, prune face person in movie, or tv show, or anything. jack Nicholson even retired as did gene Hackman and sean connery and all before 80. so, even the most famous actors retire by 80 or right before then, so George should have also a few years ago.
