James Dean Film Planned
HollywoodPaul Gregory plans to film "The Immortal," the story of the late teen-age idol, Jimmy Dean. Paul will produce this as his third on his MGM contract and he is seeking George Hamilton to portray the moody, intense young Dean, who tragically did in an auto accident.
"The Immortal" was written by Walter Ross several years ago and brought out by Simon & Schuster. Charles Kaufman is writing the script and also has completed two others for Gregory. "God and My Country" and "Your Cheatin' Heart," which are scheduled first.
