I remember seeing a black/white movie where George Hamilton Played the son of the "big man in the town". His father is a known womanizer (a famous actor played his father but I can't remember who.) One of the scenes involves the father and mother coming back from their honeymoon and a woman with a young son greets them. The boy is the man's illegitemate son. The mother then refuses to sleep with her husband again. As young men the legitimate son falls in love with a local girl and gets her pregnant. Before she can tell him he finds out his friend is actually his brother and leaves town. So the illegitemate son marries the girl. They then move into her parents' house eventually they fall in love. Once the baby is born the gossip around town is that the father sired the baby and had his illegitemate son take the blame. The girl's father hears the rumor and shoots the boys' father. It was a bit of a Peyton Place like movie but I still liked it. Any help on the title would be greatly appreciated.
