I remember seeing Bob interviewed on British Breakfast TV some 18 or so years ago. The reporter forgot, as we Brits tend to do, that only citizens born in America can run for the White House. But when he asked why the great man had never put forward his candidacy, instead of a rebuke he received a classic one liner.
I couldnt take the cut in salary returned Bob with a twinkle in his eye and my wife wouldnt move to a smaller house. The studio was in uproar: I know, I was there, and its not often you see an entire TV crew weeping with laughter.
Sleep well Bob. Ill raise a glass to you tonight, and Im sure I wont be the only one.
