I grew up in the 70s and 80s. So at the time, I thought Bob Hope was funny and I laughed. I always thought his sarcastic tone was a put on. Years later, I came to realize it wasn't an act. He was a first class narcissist who was a real jerk to a lot of people. He was also a big time adulterer. Basically a major filth bag.
Yet. There are people in the world who would still bow to him knowing this. Isn't it high time we take a lesson and stop showing envy and praise for the famous? Someone who lives life on a pedestal and pisses away money isn't exactly a good role model. To me a good role model is a good parent and great spouse. Bob Hope was NONE OF THE ABOVE. He was comparable to a pile of dog doo.

I've also heard tons of great stories about Hope. It's up to you to decide if those negative stories are all true or not.
