Was he bitter about his sexuality ?
I know some gay men are quite comfortable and happy with who they are, but did Mr Hudson ever feel shame about his homosexuality ?
One (British) actor that springs to mind was the late Kenneth Williams (he of the 'Carry On' films).
Unfortuntaely, he died (not of AIDS) but with that very notion of shame and disgust that's associated by many, with being gay.
BTW, Rock Hudson was the most handsome-looking guy I've ever seen.
Unbelievable good lucks - I bet he could get any woman he desired (or guy).
And I'm not gay.

There were times when he would go out of his way to hide his sexuality and then there were other times when it appeared that he wanted to get caught.
It's almost as if being threatened with blackmail was worth it for some moments of pleasure.
It is unfortunate regarding the patriarchal heterosexist attitudes towards homosexuality. It was used as a ruse for control and to stir up more of a conundrum with the dense breeders of society who were supposed to raise "normalcy" only….

The Hollywood milieu is one of the most hypocritical institutions around, especially when homosexuality was rife within their industry.
