Hello,
I'm a final year film studies student and I was just wondering if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction of some quotes that i'm looking for to support part of my arguement in my dissertation.
Basically i'm doing it on the subject of representations of homosexuality by the media (more specifically film) and i'm currently just writing the part in which I discuss the history of homosexuality on the screen.
I'm writing about the public were shocked to discover that this all-american macho man was actually gay (which is thought to be the opposite of macho etc.) I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere where I can find a quote (from anyone really) from the time of the discovery of his sexuality in which they bascially say that they can't believe that this nice young man has actually turned out to be gay. I'm basically looking for some negative comments that I could put into my essay to support some of the points that I am trying to make.
