If it weren`t for the fact that Peter Hyams had directed 2 JCVD movies in the past (one of them happens to be the biggest box office hit JCVD ever did) I would have thought that he was doing this film as a favor to his son who is directing this movie. I was thinking about the legendary film composer Lalo Schifrin who scored a low budget monster movie because it was directed by his son Ryan.

as far as i know peter is now involved with the new van damme movie as DOP and executive producing. i am happy about it.
