I have slowly learned from meeting many actors and actresses that all they are are people who are unusually good looking and who can memorize and read lines well. Their "persona" on screen has absolutely nothing to do with them as people. It was a persistant illusion to breaknot all of these famous actors/actresses are nice people!

Oh, this girl was married to Spielberg.

i find if i dislike someone off screen, like in interviews or something, i tend not to watch their films either. like Tom Cruise i now detest him b/c he disreguarded his obligation to help 'sell' the movie he'd worked on w/ Spielberg last, and instead went on a CRAZY rampage about Ritilin, & how it's a drug and all this crazy crap.. and Spielberg was p-o'd at him. and i DON'T blame him, seeing as how i'm in school for Audio/Video PRoduction and i'll have to put up w/ crazy actors like him and i'd feel the SAME way as Steven

I know someone who worked with Amy on stage, she said she was one of the nicest people she'd met in the Broadway community I guess like all of us, some people like us, some don't
At any rate, I think she's one of the greatest actresses of the American stage, so I don't give a damn what her personality is like

I don't know, that's why I'm asking, to find out from people who do know. do you know? The reason whhy i said those things in my last post is because all you said in your previous post was how good of an actress she is, and didn't provide any info on what type of a person she is. Just because someone can perform a variety of roles, doesn't mean that they are a kind human being, that should go without saying. I'm curious as to what you don't understand about that?

I agree that she is a good actress, but that doesn't make her a nice person. I'm looking for more info behind the actress, which won't make me dislike her movies. There are plenty of actors who i dislike as people, but think that they are still good actors, or at least make enjoyable films (Scharzenager and Charlton Heston are the first that come to mind).

Amy is an ABSOLUTE nightmare to be around.

I read that she had an affair with Dustin Hoffman, and that she was almost unbareable to be with. can anyone confirm how she is in reality, nice to hang around, or a total nightmare to get along with?

This might not be factual, but in her bio, it mentions that Speilberg had an affair with Kate Capshaw and that is why A1354my divorced him.

I believe that they met when they were introduced to each other by Brian DePalma - Amy's director on Carrie and The Fury. This was before they were both "famous".
