I like the idea of getting an actual heavy metal rock god to PLAY the heavy metal rock god, but DEFINITELY NOT anyone from Metallica.
I was thinking Shawn Drover, the drummer of Megadeth. Not sure about his acting skills but give him a beard and a little bit of make up to make him look a few years older and he's perfect. He has the look.

Michael Wincott would make a great Judas! Also, John Cullum (Holling from Northern Exposure) would make a great Craddock!

I think if Kurt Russel lost a bit of weight and grew a beard he'd be PERFECT for the role. Just me? Idk. And Johnny Depp would suck! It's gotta be someone like Russel or Zombie.

It's gotta be Jeff Fahey. I know he's not a star, but it's a horror film. They don't need to have stars.
Johnny Depp would be good, but he doesn't look old enough yet. (This has hurt him before. I love the guy and his work, but that's just how it is.) If you fudge the age of Judas Coyne, then maybe. But otherwise,
I've thought of several possibilities. For instance: Willem Dafoe. He's age appropriate, got the right look, and big enough to carry a film. Especially a horror film. (After all, horror films don't exactly need blockbuster-type budgets.) James Remar also seems good to me, for the same reasons.
Either way, Fahey is who I pictured while reading the book. But whatever happens, we always have the book.
DAAADDDDD! Tom Cruise won't come out of the closet!!!!!

I don't think it should be Johnny Depp. It's got to be someone who looks a bit harder (sorry Johnny) and isn't as attractive. Someone a bit rougher round the edges, who also looks a bit older lol.
I'm so glad they're making a film of this. While I was reading it I kept thinking how well it could be converted to film. And I trust Warner Brothers to not ruin it entirely. Great book.
