I remember always watching Rhoda as a kid in the 1970s and enjoyed her performance as Rhoda's younger sister. After the show got cancelled due to low ratings, I forgot all about her and didn't think of her again for years afterwards until she appeared on The Tracy Ullman Show in the late 1980s.
I just assumed her career wouldn't get any higher than those T.U.S appearances (since she apparently hadn't starred in too much in the several years after Rhoda ended) , but lo and behold, she then becomes Marge Simpson's voice for over 20 years and still doing it. I never knew she had such vocal talent until The Simpsons started.
The more I study it, the greater the puzzle becomes.
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad

When I watch Rhoda, I always find it amazing that it would be Julie Kavner who would have the most success in terms of TV work and making loads of money in the future, not Valerie Harper. It's odd seeing and hearing That Voice in Rhoda and knowing that Julie would end up in a completely different Simpsons universe later.

I used to love watching Rhoda on Nick At Night. I wasn't alive when it originally aired. Valerie Harper and Julie Kavner were so funny together! I adored them.
It seems like Julie Kavner has had tremendous success in voice acting. I was only 6 or 7 when The Simpsons first aired and it's still being made. How cool is that?
