yep, he is. and that actually shocked me, cause right up till today, i never knew he was gay. i literally found out about it

Yeah, well so'5b4s your comment. He was inspired to come out when Matthew Shepard was killed and he talks about being gay openly (and comically) all the time.
You know you can't just type words. There have to be some meaning and facts behind them or you just look like a complete and utter moron.

Why is that ridiculous? Why should it matter? For years, he would not talk at all about his sexuality. The closest he came was something along the lines of (and I admit to paraphrasing here) "I'm 40 years old, single, and do musical theater. Do the math." He publicly came out after the Mathew Shepherd murder.
From my point of view, a persons sexual preferences are none of my business. I care about the fact that he is a wonderful actor. His being gay does not make his acting in The Birdcage any worse or better; his being gay did not make me enjoy him in The Producers any more or any less.

if you watch Inside the Actors Studio with Nathan Lane, he talks about being gay and when he told his mom, his mom said 'Gay?..I'd rather you be dead' and his reply was 'now don't bring dad into this'..lol,so YES he has been 'out' for many years.

I didn't hear any rumors claiming Nathan to be anything other than Gay before this thread.
Some will say that he is; some will say that he isn't; some will say that he's both, and the rest will just have to wonder.

Well, I'm watching 'Birdcage' right now, and I didn't know whether he is gay or merely acting. I'd have even more respect for him as an actor if I learned that he was not gay.
