She did the horror quite well in that pic. I'm surprised she didn't do more of the horror genre before and after Carrie. She made the 70's genre' creepy, like a snuff film.

Even though to this day the woman thinks it was a comedic role. (See trivia for 'Carrie') No one can convince her otherwise. Quite possibly not the brightest crayon in the box, but fantastic at bat$#it crazy.

Interestingly enough, Carrie was her comeback movie after almost 15 years of silence, minus a few TV guest spots in the 1960's. Amazing she did almost no work during an actresses' peak in her 30's!

Piper is my favorite actresses because of her ability to pull off such crazy and sinister bitches. Unfortunately, with the exception of Carrie, Ruby, Intensity, Trauma and the Faculty, I've not had the luck of finding Distortions, Possessed and Bad Blood.

She did, Piper played the title role in the film 'Ruby' made around the same time as 'Carrie'. It's a real jem, but it's hard to find - you can get the dvd on amazon.com and a couple of the vhs tapes too but be warned they are very expensive.16d0 Piper can also be seen in 'Distortions' it's probably more of a thriller than a horror but she is absolutely fab as the creepy sinister aunt. She was also in Dario Argento's 'Trauma' - parts of it are good but the vast majority of it is really, really bad so I would advise that you only watch this if you are a super big fan of Piper's work. Although I haven't seen it she was also in Dean Koontz's 'Intensity' the only thing I know about this is it's a mini series. Piper had a fantastic part in the teen horror 'The Faculty' along side Elijah Wood and Lilith from Frasier she goes from being a dowdy teacher to a very aggressive woman stalking her students. Another couple I haven't seen are 'Possessed' with Timothy Dalton and the 'Bad Blood' films but knowing Piper's standard of acting she's probably one of the best things about these films. Hope this helps.
