I'm sure that I have seen an interview with Piper for the Biography channel in the UK where she talks glowingly of Ty Power and how kind and considerate he was to such a young inexperienced actress. There are very few with negative comments to make about Tyrone Power.

I have read some movie fan magazines from5b4 the time period for Mississippi Gambler, some with comments by Piper about her part in the film. She said there was a lot a tension on the set because Tyrone Power's wife Linda Christian had expected to be cast in the part that Piper got, and was very unhappy when she didn't get it. I'm sure Tyrone was a perfect gentlement to Piper on the set, but his personal life was in turmoil at the time.
