I lived in Northeastern Florida.. and they were like tight, black.. or long sleeved shirts of different color in thick soft cotton, not too long but not too short seeming, just snug just right on a normal body-. Jeans might have been nicer. Jean shorts weren't all as stupid. There were more shoes that were not "open toe" casual or just weird sneakers that were not as cute-…
I moved to the swamp. It was probably like very short sleeves not very stylish, not all nice, khaki's, mostly sleeveless, of course no 3/4 sleeves, the start of rebellion in jeans? bringing back the 50's! ;o I wore like maybe 2 plaid shirts at age 12 to look older so later would be more flexible, but I lost track of that thought and it was probably some feeling. Later or sometime I might have had some very short sleeves. I don't remember much. I had T shirts and turtlenecks at home. I had some regular short sleeve shirts but not many. I've had children's shirts that were cute. I don't remember much later, like to the music school for high school'ers, and other arts. It probably wasn't dresses. Sometimes, I wore like a long sleeved black shirt or some non-knit sweater, sometimes from my mom. I had some for school, uniform sometimes. So? You might get the picture. I probably outgrew some old clothes but still had some. I even had shoes with zippers in the middle.
