Why doesn't anyone talk about the fact that Myrna Loy was in both the first ever feature length film with synchronized music and sound effects AND the first ever feature length film with synchronized dialogue? That seems like an incredible accomplishment for one to have. Was it because her roles were nothing more than bit parts in those films? Even if they were that's still a pretty great factoid.
Ram this in your clambake, bitchcakes!

I bet it's overlooked because Loy was a bit player in both. Still, it's a great bit of trivia. She even has some "dialogue" in THE JAZZ SINGER.

Haven't seen
Don Juan
, but she certainly lights up the screen in the 15 seconds or so she's in
The Jazz Singer
. That face was beyond gorgeous, fascinating, and you can tell she exuded charm and charisma. What baffles me is why took so long for Hollywood to realize Myrna had star quality.
