Agree with you. I think she's full of sh! Her douchey husband and manager back then probably forced her to lie about her age to get the younger roles and she's been living the lie ever since. Meanwhile she was absolutely ridiculous trying to portray a 15 year old Vickie LaMotta in Raging Bull with that husky shemale voice of hers.

Another actress who looked much much older than she was and aged dramatically was Lauren Bacall.

Not to say that she is frail by any means, but she does look old for her age.

Not sure if you recall the fact that in Raging Bull she was playing (early on in the film) a 16-year-old girl. So, yes, it totally makes sense that Scorsese would have hired a young actress to play the part.

Far out I think it is a little too much to fathom that some people have always looked older than their actual age, while others look younger. She is an amazing gorgeous woman. She looked older than 30 in Kindergarden Cop but maybe that is the voice.

Well it's not uncommon for actors to lie about their age so it's possible she could be a few years older than she claims to be.

Just having one baby at 40 would be a huge ordeal. And then add one more. Repeat in a year.

I suppose she COULD have done this at 50 (if she was born in 1950) but my God, why? AND it would have come out, if she was 50 having twins. Someone would have figured it out, and ET or someone would have cared enough to let the word out. Everyone loves a celebrity who lies and then gets caught.

Guys, she gave birth in 2000 to twins & again in 2001 I don't think she was born in 1950 and could do that. Also she was in a bad car wreck & took 6 year break to recover, that is what most likely aged her if it was severe.

I don't buy it either. In the Raging Bull blu-ray extras there's a segment of her being interviewed in 1981 on the Tonight Show, and Johnny mentions that she's only 21. Though she clearly looks a lot closer to 31. I know virtually all women lie about their age when they get up around there, but they usually keep it within the realm of plausibility.

She is from my hometown and I know her and her family-she was 18 when they filmed Raging Bull. Sometimes things really are the truth no matter how many people say otherwise.

I remembered how we were all so shocked to discover how old she had been when Cathy Moriarty was filming Raging Bull.

Actually it IS right! I remember when the movie came out that everybody was very impressed that such a young girl could pull off such an adult role. I knowit's hard to believe but it's true.
