I am looking at Cathy's recent filmography and one she played "Nurse 2" - what kind of career is that for such a wonderful talent. Also, it appears that she is in acting in a lot of shorts - where can we find these gems?

She has always been a character actress, meaning playing more supporting characters than lead. I guess she blew her chances at more lead roles when she disappeared from film for the rest of the 1980s after her accident and rehabiliation and shutdown of a Jack Nicholson movie
However she is still keeping busy in high profile stuff (well at least more prolific then she has been in the last ten years), she is on SVU and a new Jesse Eisenberg/Mia Waskiskowska film which looks interesting. Who knows how her involvement came about where she plays "Nurse 2" I'm sure she was helping a friend out or doing a favour.
