I really enjoyed The Road, Hidalgo, and Captain Fantastic. His performances are as good as it gets. What else of his would you guys recommend?

i came on here his page after thinking about him in a history of violence. he was remarkable and spellbinding in it. he was so realistic. i remember when appaloosa came out i thought, oh cool, ed harris and viggo mortensen in another movie together. i love both these guys. ed, more though. i love how david croeneberg worked with viggo in two movies.

Eastern Promises is by far the best for me. The Road could have been good but ended up being dull and the ending was ridiculous, IMO. I'm afraid I'm not fond of Westerns so Appaloosa and Hidalgo are not on my favorites list.
I WILL NEVER GIVE UP!

I have to1c84 agree on Eastern Promises, Hidalgo and Appaloosa.
Ed Harris came to the American Film Institute last year, and I was able to get a moment with him. I asked why he and Viggo hadn't done any Appaloosa sequels. The books are out there, and they are well written. He agreed the sequel books were quality, but he said Viggo wasn't interested in doing it.
I wish he'd change his mind!
