<p dir="auto">i would take him over almost any character, heavy, supporting actors in hollywood.<br />
the thing and only thing that held him back from having a career like say ed harris, nicolas cage, or kevin bacon was his name. viggo mortensen. he doesn't have a bankable american name. viggo sounds like a dumb nick name and is too ethnic and mortensen sounds like a Norwegian name. he doesn't have a relatable, hollywood, american sounding name.<br />
that's why it took him at least 16 years from '85 to '01 to finally have his big break in the first the lord of the rings films.<br />

If he took the role he would be more well-known and would be $100 Million richer.</p>
