Well, I watched last night. The BAFTA presentation was very nice. BUT as often as the camera moved over the celebrities in the audience, it didn't pick up Viggo.
Until they got to the Best Actor category - then the camera picked him up for one shot in the audience. And he didn't win, of course. (They did pick some nice shots from CAPTAIN FANTASTIC to illustrate his nomination.) Casey Affleck got it for MANCHESTER BY THE SEA.
I'm sure that's how it'll go for the Oscars, but of course I'll be watching. At least the camera operators for that show do go to the trouble to really pick out the nominees during the ceremonies. Including the Red Carpet, of course.

I didn't see the ceremony but my local papers reported on it and there was a picture of him right after the Duchess and Prince William in the slide show. I don't think he has much of a chance at the Oscars - I haven't seen any buzz about him.
I WILL NEVER GIVE UP!
