Yeah, it was sad that he died before that scumbag ego Robert Goulet. Jerry was such a gentleman to so many people and treated everyone nicely. I know this because I have a friend who knew him personally and Jerry really cared for him.

I miss him to the show "Law & Order".Its not the same.In Germany we see Dennis Farina.I can not like him.I always see Jerry in my thought.Many fans here in Germany miss him. My english its not the best,but I hope you can understand me.

Jerry was a great actor, I still can't believe he didn't win an emmy for L&O.

Wow!.I can't believe it neither!! I was recently noticing that he is not on it anymore.so I looked at the dates of the episodes I watchdand noticed that the new guy was on around 2005.So I decided to look it up here. I always thought he was hot for an older guy..I just never knew how much older he was. I bet his family has a FORTUNE. I almost cried at the thought that he was dead. I figured it was probably the only reason he wasn't onI could still cry!!!

I just found out he died! How sad. I just recently got into Law and Order, and he was one of my favorite actors on the showhim and the guy who plays Jack McCoy. Now I won't be able to watch the show the same way anymore.

When I learned of his death that day. I rarely if ever watched Law And Order. I knew him as Baby's father and the candlestick from Beauty and The Beast. I was so sad. A few months latb68er, I went to a local museum and they had a law and order exhibit. There by the entrance was a director's chiar with his backing on it. Above it read IN MEMORY OF JERRY ORBACH. I started to tear up. My friend asked me who Jerry was. She had never heard of him. Then I said "baby's father" and she teared up with me. He was a great man, a type of man that is rare.

^ I had no idea either. I can't believe I'm just now finding out.. I can't say I watch Law and Order all the time, although it is among one of my favorite Crime Drama shows, I just don't always get to catch it. I watch repeats, it's just been a while since I've seen recent new episodes, so I didn't even notice that he wasn't there anymore. This is really bad. RIP Jerry.

He's been dead over two years now, I had no idea he had died. I stopped watching Law and Order eons ago, and knew he left the main show around 2004. I just saw him on a old Perry Mason, had no idea he had died. Great actor.
