Hi! I'm a portuguese rocker & a great Michael Par fan since the 80's, i've got mostly of his movies & i think he's one of the most underrated & underused american actors ever.
My question is for those who may know it is what truly happened to Michael Par after 1984? I know "Eddie & The Cruisers" was a sleeper hit that opened Par to Hollywood, he was the next big thing, he got the looks, the charm, the cool & the next year he was in two bigger movies that didn't performed well in the B.O. (& i don't know why 'cos "The Philadelphia Experiment" & "Streets of Fire" easily makes my Top 50 of best movies from the 80's).
It was because the flop of both that he was blackballed from Hollywood & big movies? 'cos from "Philadelphia" & "Streets" two A-List movies from John Carpenter (when he was a prodigal son before he went downhill in B.O. terms late 80's) & Walter Hill to "Space Rage" an almost C-movie nobody seen in just 1 year? or something else happened? like he fvcked some big producer's wife or showed the middle finger to the Hollywood system?
Thanx in advantage!
