My name is Dave Petty and way back in 1974, I was waiting in the make-up room with my father, Jack Petty, for Slim to come in. I was visiting the set in Old Tuscon Arizona while shooting the TV movie "The Gun and the Pulpit" with Marjoe Gortner. Slim walked in and said "Jack - I was up all night last night. This girl was at my hotel room door poundin' on it un2000til 3:00 in the mornin'. I finally had enough and got up and let her out!". I never laughed so hard in my life. It was absolutely Slim at his best. I will never forget him.
