That's pretty chill
A little bit Simple Minds with some horn. The 3D camera work was a nice touch.

The only modern day band that sticks out to me is the libertines and they aren't really new at all anymore!
Also, the Horrors are another band that could be considered contemporary and genuinely good

Ocean Colour Scene performed at a bandstand nearby where I live last year. Sold out and so didn't get to see them, but the park was still open to the public and so got to listen to their set
Pulp is an odd one. Their first album 'It' was in 1983 and they didn't really get much recognition until His'n'Hers in 1994, then they went massive.
The current British music scene needs a kick up the jacksie. Not much comes out and gets big these days. It could be the Internet giving people more variety and so less cohesion in groups all chanting the same songs but while the weather is good it should be filled with young love and all the mistakes that go with it
Recommend any current British bands?

I like how Pulp have had something of a late renaissance and are seen as cool. Radiohead have always been considered
I went to see Kula Shaker and Ocean Colour Scene performing together recently - both excellent

It was twenty odd quid (Plus booking fee) for a weekend pass to Knebworth back in 96'.
You got to see The Charlatans, Manic Street Preachers, Cast (And Kula Shaker
) for that much.
The whole Britpop war was on with Blur at the time and Pulp and Radiohead made up for the outsiders.
I think the memories of those times is what is getting people get so excited. People remembering what it was like to be invincible and at the top of their game.
The twenty pounds has scaled up, and people are prepared to pay for it, but the sentiment is still there. I'm hoping everyone has a great time and I really hope some new fresh bands get a chance of making a name with it all
Kids are going to their gigs too, so it's not just the fogies. An odd thing to behold but it's days like these that help shape a cultural moment in memories - hopefully no bad people do anything silly to spoil that.
Where you seeing them?

My first ever album was definitely Maybe on Cassette.
It might be hugely cool again to like oasis but there's a reason for that.

Hate to be 'that guy' but I saw them when you hadn't heard of them
King Tut's Wah Wah Hut (And later Tent)
I think they epitomised the times, rather than them actually being any good
