<p dir="auto">I was just listening to the Sound of Music soundtrack on Spotify, and on the songs where Captain Von Trapp sings, it says Bill Lee is singing. Did Christopher Plummer not actually sing in his role?</p>

<p dir="auto">If you want to hear him really singing, pick up a copy of the Broadway cast album for "Cyrano," which he did in 1973. I saw it twice, and he was very, v5b4ery good in that singing actor way pioneered by Rex Harrison and Richard Burton.</p>

<p dir="auto">He recorded all the songs, and there is a clip floating around of him singing "Edelweiss". As he says himself, he did an okay job, but his voice was so lacking next to the perfection of Julie that they ended up dubbing him with Lee.</p>
