Hello, all -
When I was a kid to young adult - I am thinking maybe 13-15, (that would be around 1970!) I remember seeing George Reeves in a "best friend role" and supporting part to a man who is trying to find a cure for Yellow Fever. The man trying to find a cure as being made miserable by a pushy girlfriend or wife, and eventually dies just as he is finding the cure. I think the Reeves character kinda finishes the job, or gets the "cure" to civilization.
It was definitely a movie - not an episode on Playhouse 90, or something like that. I remember seeing it twice, actually, on a WGN type station, but I can't remember the name of it.
I checked in "Superman from Cereal to Serial" and the closest I can get is that he was in a PLAY called "Yellow Jack" which looks like sort of the same plot, but I know what I saw was a movie.
Does anyone else remember this film at all?
I can't find anything that looks close on George's IMDB credits.
Thanks in advance!

There is a film version of Yellow Jack from 1938 starring Robert Montgomery and Buddy Ebsen.

Thank you -
I guess I'll never know! I could have sworn seeing the movie when I was a kid/young adult, but as the movie never runs, and I can't remember the name of it, or the guy is enough like George to be his twin, i guess I will never know!

I've been researching George Reeves's life for a biography for many years and have never heard of a film or television program in which he appeared that deals with anything like what you've described. He did appear on Broadway in Yellow Jack, about the search for a yel5b4low fever cure, but it was not filmed with him.
