He was really a pretty good journeyman actor, even his B stuff, he's better than the headliner<br />
Had he lived, I believe his career would have gotten better<br />
The Superman gig may have hurt him in the short term, but would have been an asset later on.<br />
TV was getting bigger and better, movies were changeing<br />
you just don't give up a job that pays 2500$ a week in the 50s.  Thats like 22,000$ now.<br />
