I just read IMDb's notice that they will be shutting down their Message Boards. At least that is how I read it. I hope that they are wrong or change their minds, but I don't think they will. I can understand for the most part why they are doing this There are many bad users that frequent these boards and make positive discussions very difficult
The one I will miss most, is Miss Ginger Rogers' Message Board, because Miss Ginger Rogers is my Number 1 favorite Celebrity!
I have enjoyed being a part of the discussions here for the last year. This was a great place to get information about her, and for having questions answered that I might have concerning her.
Also having Ms. Roberta Olden contribute information here has been a real treatsomething I have never seen on any other message board. I am very grateful and thankful to her for taking the time to go out of her way to personally sell me a Rogers Rogue River Ranch milk bottle, when TCM Sold Out. I will always treasure the milk bottle, and remember her kindness too.
It was wonderful seeing how this board stayed one of the more positive message boards on IMDb. The loyalty of Miss Ginger Rogers fans came through loud and clear. I believe Miss Ginger Rogers wo1354uld have been very honored and proud that so many still think she is magnificent, and still remember her.
I'll be greatly saddened, the day, this wonderful little corner of her fandom, is no longer here. It's like losing a friend.
I know there are some websites out there that are completely devoted to Miss Ginger Rogers, and I hope some of them have the capability to fill in the need to be able to chat with other other Gingerologists. I hope to join you all there. I also hope Ms. Roberta Olden will visit too Miss Ginger Rogers needs to be remembered for generations to come. People need to know that see wasn't just in those "Fred Astaire Musicals"

I, too, just read the sad IMDB news and I feel awful. Thank you for posting the above Mcdemuth. I believe and feel the same. Thank goodness, I check back regularly and was able to learn about the Love Boat, Season Three Volume One DVD availability. I ordered them and they arrived yesterday. Also, from Ginger Rogers' board I learned the airing dates of the Antique Roadshow in Palm Springs where Ms. Roberta Olden presents one of Ginger Roger's pieces. Dates - February 20, February 27 and March 27 on the East Coast. More memories to treasure
