either Karl Malden or Paul Newman she was originally supposed to play Clara in Long Hot Summer but forfeited the role due to pregnancy and was replaced by Joanne Woodward who became pregnant during the production but sadly miscarried later. while Eva & Jefferey had their beautiful daughter Laurette in July 1958 and the following April Paul & Joanne welcomed their oldest daughter Nell
