Davis Schwimmer has a terrible problem with mouth-breathing. Like Ted Danson, he seems to find it impossible to breathe through his nose. If you watch him on screen, you will see that even if he closes his mouth for a little while, he always has to open it eventually to breathe.
Mouth-breathing can be caused by enlarged adenoids, a deviated septum, swollen mucus membranes caused by allergies, etc. Breathing through your mouth can lead to a dry mouth, bad breath, tooth and gum decay and other problems.
Also, someone standing there with an open mouth looks really, really dorky.
Personally, I would hate to kiss Davis Schwimmer - he must have horrible bad breath.
My question is, why on earth doesn't he do something about it? There are surgical and medical treatments that would fix the problem and give him great relief, allowing him to breathe freely and easily through his nose (and keep his mouth shut!).
PLEASE, DAVID, GET IT FIXED!

I never will understand with people's obsession with other people's tendency to breathe through their mouth. Why does it matter to you? How does it affect you? Grow up! Find something that is actually important and worthwhile to focus on!

All those "before" photos a front on and washed out.
It has been definitely confirmed that he has had a nose job (and IMHO a really bad one at that).
Check out the following link:
http://www.modernplasticsurgeon.com/friends-plastic-surgery-ben111cefits/
I have tried to find a rather unflattering pre nose job photo that I saw years ago that showed him dressed as an Italian clown. Unlike all the other pre nose job photos, this one was in 3/4 profile and I was shocked at just how large it was.
The only one that I could find was this one
https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com:443/data.filmboards/images/upload/7IiPSdH.jpg
and this was him in his mid teens. He still had a few years worth of growing to go.
As a side note, in my search for early photos,I found this story on big noses, and even with his nose job, David Schwimmer still makes the "hooters" list LOL.

maybe they cutoff too much of his nose when he had his nose job (he used to have a HUGE honker)
