This guy is such a great actor, but doesn't seem to get the recognition he deserves. He was fantastic in Homicide, but I Andre Braugher seemed to get all the attention (taking nothing away from Braugher, who was also excellent). Kyle's performance as Bayliss was perf16d0ect - you really felt his emotions with him. He's doing great on Commander in Chief as well, but sadly it looks as thought that may be facing cancellation.

I watched him in particularly emotional scene from Homicide and marveled at how good he was. He's working but I haven't seen him lately either.

I'm replying to the post a year later. Agree with you, waldenpond88, he is a wonderful, sensitive actor.

I watched him in "Her Desperate Choice" today and really enjoyed his part as a boyfriend of a woman with her daughter on the run.
He also had a small part in my favorite Julia Roberts film (Sleeping with the Enemy).
Before we watched all seasons from "Homicide", I was not aware of his acting skills. Wonderful, sensitive actor!

Extremely underrated! I've enjoyed his work in just about everything he's done.

yes, i was disappointed with CiC, as well. i like geena davis, but i didn't think she was right for the role of mac. i would have preferred joan allen ('the contender) or glenn close.
i really enjoyed 'the contender', so i felt more than a little let down by CiCespecially seeing as it's creator (rod lurie) was the same man that created "the contender'. but, i kept watching, mainly for kyle (i've loved him as an actor ever since his H:LotS days). like you, my biggest complaint with CiC was it's nice neat happy little endings every episode. it made mac out to be perfect. that's not very condusive to good drama. it got boring real quick. and, bochco just tried to turn it into a soap opera. the show just had no direction, no identity. very sad, as it had great possibilities.

Although I have't seen any of his movies (I don't think so, anyway), I did appreciate him a lot in Homicide: Life on the Street. I tried to get into Commander In Chief, but unfortunately, it just irritated me. Or rather, Geena Davis's character did.
If you can tell me that she does at least get her ass kicked every now and then, I might catch the reruns, but the first few episodes I saw were just annoying in that she always overcame whetever dastardly deed her enemies could come up with. So I gave up. I guess I was hoping for something with more of a "Contender" feel to it.
