and did not receive the recognition he deserved. Played opposite almost every famous leading lady. Was thinking about him as Time Machine was on TCM and then heard the sad news. I also grew up in Parramatta where Rod went to school. Rest in Peace and thank you. Hope his family reads some of these messages.

I agree with you Suzanne. Rod was one of those actors who had that style of acting that attracts your attention eg. Steve McQueen, Sean Connery, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington etc.
It's a real pity that he did not make it as big as those other actors (He deserved it). R.I.P. Rod.

What do you say if people ask you where you come from if you were born in Australian, live in Australia and could be 5th gen Australian? Even the Aborigines migrated to this country. I don't understand your thinking.
