I'm not much of a fan of either one. So there goes your theory. It's all about an actor's likeability factor. A gorgeous face and a beautiful body sells tickets. Charisma also sells tickets. Bob Denver and Susan Olsen were forever typecast. The American public wants what it wants.

Ignorance. You do realize that there are still laws on the books which promote racism and that they are actually attempting to make laws against female genders. Some of the worse racism was still occurring in the eighties. Lets relive that in the sixties segregation was still huge. There is a GENERATION of people still alive who experienced this racism. Cicely Tyson is one of them. I know your guilt just makes you want to sweep it under the rug, but it did happen and just because Slavery was outlawed over 100 years ago doesnt mean your generation didnt have anything to do with the horrible racism in this country.
