Dianne is a truly remarkable actress, just golden and amazing in every way possible with such a sweet voice and a warmth about her. Although it is sad that she is a very underrated actress in comparison to those that are unequal to her talent and versatility, I was just wondering of you Dianne fans which of her performances do you think are her favourite. I know this has probably been done before, but I have been meaning to buy some of her movies and I was also looking for recommendations.
My two favourite performances of hers are her Oscar-winning performances, I'm not sure which one I would say she deserved more, but probably 'Bullets over Broadway'.
Anyone else??

She's great in everything she's in, even bad movies like
Practical Magic
.
My very favorite performance of her is in
Bullets Over Broadway
. Every times she speaks or gestures it's hilarious. I love her performance in
Hannah and Her Sisters
too. I like her best with Woody Allen but I love her in all of the other mentioned films as well.

Every role mentioned is good to great ( I loved her in Parenthood and The birdcage and of course the Woody movies).
However, to catch Dianne before the fame and great roles she made her own, catch her small performance as a hooker in Purple rose Of Cairo!
" Of course. There are trains in all Contini films.
It's my signature!"

I agree that she's fantastic in "Edward Scissorhands". Her performance there is very underrated. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the first time I noticed what an excellent actress she is was in this movie.
