Super underrated!

good actor, but his characters usually rub me the wrong way he's kinda like the neighbor you wish would move to another state.. 1st ep of this he cranks up his music, puts the speakers in the window he does that in GA, he'd come back to either smashed speakers or NONE at all!! or they'd be all shot up with a shotgun as a message..
he was even an obnoxious neighbor in Modern Family - whassup w these parts, is he that kind of guy in auditions?

i absolutely agree. he's a fantastic actor who steals every scene i've ever seen him in and i'm not just saying it because my name is steven james sahn!

He kept his timing great with Martin Lawrence in National Security because although his character was serious the movie wasn't! He made the the character in the movie have legs and he worked this character well. I'd like to see a National Security Part II!

I totally agree with everyone who brought up Comanche Moon. It was pretty amazing how much Zahn pulled off the Gus character that previously played by Robert Duval. It was basically young Gus exactly how you would have imagined him had you watched the original Lonesome Dove film.
One of my favorite actors and as such I have avoided things that I know are going to be terrible - Like Sahara.

Absolutely agree too.
Some of his movie choices aren't great, and don't do his potential justice, but there are lots that he really shines in. I'd love to see him lead in more films/shows.

I have seen two movies with him,joy ride and national security,and i really liked the guy

Sahara sucks. Strange Wilderness sucks. I see Steve Zahn and I know I could have done something else, worthwhile, with my life. As I wait for the next film to show on AMC, I have decided to rant. Steve Zahn may not be a bad guy, but his AGENT deserves to be put in the stocks for the garbage he pulls Zahn into.

i love him. he is a favorite. he makes every movie he's in, better, with that expressive face. he really just lights up the screen. for the naysayers expressing concern over his status in hollywood & the roles he takes, he is not going anywhere. i think there will always be a role for steve zahn. he is just the right amount of famous. he won't fade away, he will keep going steady on.

Couldn't agree anymore. It's really sad that actors like this never get noticed for how great they are.

I've loved Steve since You've Got Mail, where he TOTALLY outshined 2x Oscar winner Tom Hanks!!! That just says it all really. He's a terrific actor and I adore watching him!!

Have any of you seen him in A Perfect Getaway! He was amazing keeping the light herted side to keep you guessing then completely blowing your mind when he transforms into one of the most crazy and evil characters I have ever seen in a movie. Great job for timothy as well.

agreed. 'names' & 'looks' seem to be cast into the next decade, while we have to hope & wait to see real talent. hollyweird grows more pathetic with each passing year.

it blows my mind why such highly talented actors such as steve zahn, sam rockwell, and gary oldman have not won an academy award for amazing performances that seem to be overlooked by the academy.. i understand that gary oldman has an extremely large fan base and wouldn't exactly be considered under-rated since many people give him credit for his performances but zahn and rockwell are certainly two of the most under-rated actors of our generation.. all 3 of them deserve an oscar for many of their performances but it seems these days the academy has turned into mostly politics and seem to pick the bigger named actors that are covered more in the media so that they can get more viewers to watch the awards presentation.. it's sad how such raw talent like this can go unnoticed and unrewarded

I agree, this guy is really underrated. I enjoy him whenever I see him in anything. He's a really good dramatic actor, but also a really good comedic actor Actually the comedy roles come so natural to this guy, I'm kinda surprised he didn't become a bigger comedy film star.
