I was shocked to learn he had died since his dad just passed on last year. I loved his role in Butterflies are Free. RIP Edward.

I was so shocked to hear of Edward's passing.
I had the opportunity to work with him a few years ago on No Regrets, he was a joy to work with and a consummate professional. So often we'd be running scenes and as I'd watch him thru the camera it seemed as tho' he wasn't acting he was just "being" the character, so natural and believeable.
Although we had never met before that show, I feel we made a real connection he was always free with advise (and it was always helpful).
It was wonderful to see the time he spent with all of our chikdren at the wrap party clowning around for them and laughing at their jokes. My daughter remembered him as "that funny guy at the party" for months afterward.
One of my fondest memories is of a converstion with Edward on set musing about location film making and it's similarities to a Life Boat Situation, how you are thrown together with people you've never seen before and the success of your endeavor (sometimes your very survival) depends on your being able to "play well with others".
Even tho' he was very preoccupied with family health matters at the time, it never seemed ot affect his work, his craft or the way he acted towards the rest of the cast and crew.
Edward you will be missed, and yet thru your films we will be able to keep your memory alive.
My most heartfelt thoughts go out to your family.
