His dad is "Turkish" , but is actually an Iraqi with some Turkish background as it is not uncommon for Iraqis to be of various ethnic mixes.
His father comes from the Iraqi family: <- Arabic script
pronounced "El Cho-kh-chi"
He has said it in interviews also that his father is from Iraq 😉
