Does anyone know if Samantha attended and if so is there a photo of her?
I've read over the years that she was there and the camera cut away to her several times, especially during Wyler's Thalberg speech. However, in scanning the many clips of that night (including Wyler's award) there is no trace. I also see no photos of her arriving in SM. Elizabeth Hartman, two Julie's, Shelley, yes; Samantha no.
I've always been curious if she even attended as most people (Maggie Smith, Simone Signoret, Burton) did not.
