series was a mistake.  Some roles should be left well enough alone, and Ellen Burstyn is and will always be Chris MacNeil.</p>

<p dir="auto">I hate that mentality. A new actor can offer fresh insight on a famous role and sometimes surpass the original.<br />
After all Anthony Hopkins is and always will be Hannibal Letter, but I can now say Mads Mikkelson's very different take might be my preferred incarnation of the character.</p>
