Unless I misheard, on the week she was eliminated from the show, Derek was correcting her for not doing something right in practice. She said something like, "You'll be sorry when you go home alone tonight." I saw the episode live so I'm not hearing that second hand.

Personally, I don't know what a sweet, young Mormon guy like Derek could possibly be doing dating a divorced, over-the-hill teen movie queen. Age doesn't make a difference if you have things in common but other than dancing, I don't see much of a commonality between them. If Derek was to hook up with an older woman, I think he would have made a cuter couple with his partner from last season, Jennie Garth (but she is married with kids and knew he was only in his early 20's).

You could just sooooo tell there was something between them from the beginning. They've got good chemistry and they're really cute together. "Good friends" my butt. lol. But, they need to be sure to not overreact too much about the judges' comments. Sure, what derek said was true about the other contestants and it might be that the judges don't think they're doing as well as they should, so they're giving them bad scores so they can up their game. Either that or the judges are jealous. lol. It's not that shannon isn't working hard, but but she should watch out for what the judges are saying

This won't work out in the end. She is 12 years older than him and yeah I know age doesn't matter, however with him being so young and in the spotlight no way it works. Look at who she was married too before and now this guy. She went from older and not good looking to young and not bad looking.

Personally, I think that if Shannon and Derek are happy together, more power to them. After all, since she and her for-all-intents-and-purposes-ex have already filed for divorce, both she and the soon-to-be-ex are free now to date whosoever they please, without needing a by-your-leave or anything else from the other person, under current Hollywood rules.

I think they look great together. But it never fails, when someone famous gets involved in a relationship they get ripped to shreds because of how they (or their partner) look. For the record though, Shannon looks great.
