My son-in-law is a fireman and paramedic and he is 6'4", 215 pounds. He is so tall is has to bend down to walk into my house.
BTW, all the Skarsgrd boys are extremely tall men beginning with dad. I remember when I first saw Stellan in

over 20 years ago. He looked like a giant, but I believe Alexander is taller than his father.

I think you might be right that he is taller than 6'4.5" because I saw an old interview with Alexander Skarsgard on the morning t5b4alk show Kelly and Michael. When Alex came out he was a little bit taller than Michael and so they asked his height and Alex said 6'4" and Michael said he was 6'5". It was a funny moment. Alex and Michael went back to back and Alex was a little taller and blamed his hair being higher.
Because he is so tall Alex has a habit of holding his head down. Also when he sits on a couch with other (puny humans) he slouches and sits forward so he is on a similar level with everybody.
I don't care how tall he is, OMG he's so gorgeous. It has a lot to do with his acting ability and personality because I've seen handsomer but he's the fairest of them all.

I suppose it is all relative. Depending on who they cast against him. Though I do know that a lot of male actors that we see a lot of are not tall at all, nor even close to average (which is 5'10.7" for males per a recent article I read).
My hubby is 6'1.5" tall. I have a 6'4" son, a 6'2.5" son, a 6'1/2" son, a 5'11' son, a 5'9" son and my only daughter is 5'4". I am 5'1" and the kids are all taller than me (wasn't a hard feat to manage). But, me standing next to the boys makes them look extremely tall, so it is relative to who stands next to them that makes their height look average or tall. And in Hollywood, they can make who they want look taller than they are. (Tom Cruise being the most famous one for that, I think).
I enjoy being short, so that if I fall I don't have far to go.. LOL (Only one of the many jokes my kids or others say to me.)
Of course, there are times I wished I didn't have to ask strangers in the grocery store to get something off a shelf for me.

What exactly are you trying to say? You don't think he is 6'4" because he "towers over everyone else"? Wouldn't that be proof that he is indeed that tall? 6'4" is extremely tall. Not even The Rock is that tall.

In Hollywood they have the 3 inch rule. You can knock 3 inches off the published height and you'll be closer to the truth. Cruise is 5'4 btw ,and wears very well made height increasing shoes.Newman was 5'6 as was stated by Larry King shortly after his death. Stallone 5'7 and even Arnold is actually no more than 5'10 as most bobybuilders are in the 5'2-5'10 range.

pretty much the same height as i am,weird looking at photos of him standing beside other actors,you really don't get the sense of how small some of them are on screen.

Hes a huge dude. I would say more as like 200 cm or above it. Guess its a not great thing being to tall so he says hes a little smaller.

I've been lucky enough to see him up close and he really is that tall, and might I say even more beautiful in person than I thought possible. Lastly, he was the nicest man. Even after being ushered out of the theater, he went out the side with all of his fans and signed every last autograph and took pics until no one was left. Extremely polite, courteous, and thankful.

All of the obviously short men in Hollywood, including Paul Newman, claim/ed to be 5'10". In Newman's case, I have it on good authority that he was exaggerating by a good 4 inches. Even Russell Crowe, whom I love, claims to be 5'11" when he's more like 5'9".
